Doctor Who to launch videogame The Eternity Clock

BBC World signs agreement to create a series of Doctor Who games will initially be available on PlayStation devices

Doctor Who is to enter the game console, with BBC Worldwide has signed an agreement to create a series of securities that will initially be available in Sony PlayStation devices.

The first doctor who game, called the clock of eternity, will be launched early next year on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita device and PC. La Vita, a competitor of Nintendo DS, released in the UK on February 22.

BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the company, said it was "investigating" the possibility that games that require players to "master the intricacies of time travel" could be launched in other platforms in the future, such as the Xbox.

three-game series is based on a new story, written in collaboration with the team responsible for the BBC Wales television, starring Matt Smith and Alex Kingston VoiceOver to recording their characters. The Doctor Who games are developed by Supermassive Games. Robert Nashak, executive vice president of digital entertainment at the BBC Worldwide, said the games designed to bring the "wonder, adventure and madness" of Doctor Who for the market console game. A spokesman for BBC Worldwide said the doctor who created a game console in the past - to the Earth called for the Nintendo Wii - but it was a unique title. She said the latest announcement represents an important strategy in progress.
