As I said in the third paragraph, I guess blocking the telephone number in the forums was probably one of the long-standing practice. As published in ZiggyMoff comments, Valve does something similar - replacing an e-mail phone number. I can not pretend to know how common it is, but I know it's stupid and prevents users to easily communicate with the appropriate media.

As has been in the spotlight recently, this practice demonstrates that the failure to communicate with clients. Maybe EA should reassess how they manage these things.]
